A specific search is done to start with. If no results are found, a broader search is performed.

"Pink" would only find Pink.
"Pink Floyd" would only find Pink Floyd.
"Bach" would find the composer Johann Sebastian Bach and others.
"Britneeeee Speeeers" would match the singer and others
"american singers" would find american singers
"U2 sunglasses" would find U2 pictures with sunglasses
Boolean operators: AND, OR, NOT and brackets ( ) must be surrounded by square
brackets i.e. [AND]

[(]ROCK [OR] PUNK [)] [AND] GUITAR
After you perform a search you can narrow your search by
clicking the years links shown. You can also type a boolean search directly
e.g.

e.g. You can search for pictures by their numeric id or file
name e.g.

e.g. You can search for pictures by a particular
photographer. Either use the Photographers link or type phoname:PHOTOGRAPHER:: in the
search box.
phoname:DOSFOTOS:: will return pictures by Dosfotos
phoname:PYMCA:: Prodigy will return pictures of Prodigy by PYMCA.
Pictures are normally sorted by relevance.
You can alter the ordering by clicking the order links.
Exact artist matches return additional links such as related key words and
artists.
If you don't know the artist name, you can try a rough spelling or browse by A-Z or
key words. If you then subsequently click on an artist name you will thensee any
related links.
